Food Accademia strengthens its presence in Venice.

Treviso-based Food Accademia has bolstered its travel retail presence at Venice Marco Polo Airport with the introduction of three Italian spirits and two food items.

Maxi Milian Gin, Castagner Grappa Prosecco Ice, Intrigo Rosso Vermouth and two speciality sweet biscuits from Biscotto Farm are now available at Lagardère Travel Retail’s premium fine food & drink store, Bottega dei Sapori.

Venice’s Bottega dei Sapori showcase

Bottega dei Sapori was opened in 2012 to promote the worldwide appeal of Italian fine food, wines and spirits. It features typical specialties of different regions and a selection of prestigious wines.

Maxi Milian Gin (ABV 43%/70cl) is an award-winning, triple-distilled, aromatic gluten-free and vegan gin made in Italy from 100% Italian-sourced, natural ingredients. All materials, from bottle to packaging, are made of natural fibres and are 100% recyclable.

Launched in in 2020 by entrepreneurs Massimiliano Montanari and Marta Gover, Maxi Milian Gin is available in selected European and US domestic markets.

Maxi Milian Gin, Castagner Grappa Prosecco Ice and Intrigo Rosso Vermouth are now available at Lagardère’s Bottega dei Sapori store.

Castagner Grappa Prosecco Ice (ABV 37.5%/70cl) is best enjoyed ice-cold as an after-dinner shot. It is distilled from Glera grape pomace (leftover grape skins from wine-making) and manufactured in Italy’s Veneto region. The skins are treated and stored using the Grappa system for fermentation.

Intrigo Rosso Vermouth (ABV 16%/500ml) is a new vermouth from Spiriti Occulti. Created by bar managers Andrea Pellizzato and Marco Gasparello, and art director Riccardo Pellizzato, it has a strong territorial link with the Veneto region. The name and concept references the intrigues and passions of eighteenth-century Venice, also known as the Serenissima region.

In addition to these three Italian spirits, Food Accademia is also launching two food products from artisanal confectioner Biscotto Farm.
