González Byass updates Lepanto brandy with elevated new packaging

González Byass has refreshed its Lepanto 12, Lepanto OV and Lepanto PX brandy with a new bottle and packaging design, available now in GTR in Spain through Avolta, and in Germany with Gebr. Heinemann.

Said to mark the next stage in the brand’s evolution, the redesign combines a more contemporary visual identity with enhanced sustainability credentials.

The new blue label for Lepanto 12 references the Battle of Lepanto – the historic namesake of the brand – and features a modern silhouette of La Real, the flagship galley of Don Juan of Austria.

Additional changes to the bottle include a copper-toned cork engraved with the company name, and higher shoulders with a subtle V-shape. An elongated neck in the signature Lepanto blue now includes the González Byass Sherry Cask logo, to highlight the brand’s roots in the Marco de Jerez.

In line with with González Byass’ sustainability goals, the updated outer packaging is also 11% lighter, reducing its environmental impact.

Lepanto Master Blender Rocio Trillo commented: “Lepanto represents excellence from grape to glass. With this new, more contemporary image, fully aligned with the brand’s values, we’ve captured the essence of a unique brandy: a direct descendant of Sherry wine, already distinguished by its unmistakable personality.”

Lepanto 12 is a Gran Reserva brandy crafted entirely in Jerez from 100% Palomino Fino grapes. Every stage of production takes place in the region, from distillation to ageing in the González Byass Sherry cask system. There are three distinct Sherry cask finishes. Lepanto 12 is finished in sweet oloroso casks; Lepanto OV in dry old oloroso casks; and Lepanto PX in Pedro Ximenez casks.
