Haribo to showcase latest innovations at upcoming TRMarketplace event
By Andrew Pentol |
Confectionery brand Haribo is to showcase the latest innovations in its travel retail portfolio at the inaugural TRMarketplace digital event (28 September to 2 October).
The Haribo brand hub at TRMarketplace will present the new Haribo Giant Dummies, a selection of jelly snacks shaped like pacifiers in five fruity flavours.
Other products on display include the colourful Haribo Mini Travel Suitcase, filled with a 146g assortment of Haribo Goldbear minis.
Happy Cola minis, Roulette Happy Cola and Roulette fruit will also be on show, along with Sweet & Sour Haribo Twin Snakes, the most recent addition to the resealable pouch range.
GRADUAL RECOVERY EXPECTED
Elisa Fontana, Head of Marketing Global Travel Retail, commented: “The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted our industry severely over the last six months. At Haribo, we expect the recovery to be gradual as passengers rediscover the joy of travelling and resume their shopping at airports and on ferries.
“However, we do expect the business to bounce back and Haribo intends to be at the forefront of that recovery. We intend to reclaim our pre-eminent position in sugar confectionery and put the smiles back on the faces of travellers.”
Fontana added: “We are looking forward to meeting our partners through the TRMarketplace platform to discuss our latest novelties and their potential in travel retail stores worldwide.
“We would like to encourage duty free and travel retail stakeholders to take a look at the wide variety of colourful snacking and gifting confectionery offered by Haribo and propose a meeting with the team to suit their agendas.”
This year the family-owned company celebrates its 100th anniversary. Haribo produces hundreds of different products at 16 production sites across 10 countries.
