Harrods adds 30+ luxury watch brands at Heathrow T2
By Kevin Rozario |
As previewed in the Watches Report in the April issue of TRBusiness magazine, the Harrods Fine Watch Room has now opened at Heathrow Terminal Two inspired by the department store’s high-end watches offer in Knightsbridge.
The 158sq m egg-shaped, glass-walled store in T2 departures will house over 30 brands including Montblanc, Longines, Rado, Baume & Mercier, Tag Heuer, Zenith, Maurice Lacroix, Frederic Constant, Omega, Tudor (from September), Jaeger-LeCoultre, IWC, Chanel, Hublot and Chopard.
Harrods is using its fine watch buying team at its Knightsbridge store to curate the T2 collection.
The shop is described by Harrods as “a contemporary and masculine space” with black granite entrances, mosaic pathways of limestone and golden accents, and a parquet floor. Cylindrical glass tanks, leather furniture, contemporary lighting and crystal chandeliers complete the luxury look.
Low-level display cabinets present brands alongside full-height displays for anchor brands. Private consultation areas with half-height screens and integrated displays provide private spaces for passenger consultation.
