Heathrow Airport has partnered with leading omnichannel ecommerce and digital transformation firm AOE to power greater customer retail choice across the terminals.
The London hub will implement AOE’s Omnichannel Multi-Merchant Marketplace (OM³) suite of services to deliver a simplified retailing process for over 300 brands who wish to share products with customers.
It will also bolster the current Reserve and Collect offer.
Chris Annetts, Retail and Service Proposition Director said: “We have a long-term vision to deliver a seamless digital experience for all our passengers, both inside the airport and in the comfort of their homes.
“This partnership with AOE is the next step towards building seamless end-to-end experiences for passengers and enabling us to interact with them more efficiently for an enhanced and memorable journey.”
AOE BUILDS MOMENTUM
OM³ is designed to help multi-channel retailers such as airports digitise their non-aviation revenues to provide a more seamless, digital experience.
The Heathrow announcement follows AOE’s sustained impact in the travel retail, having recently signed a deal with Auckland Airport.
AOE CEO Kian Gould added: “Our OM³ Suite continues to build momentum for Heathrow and we are especially excited to be part of Heathrow Airport’s strategy to digitalize their entire business model to benefit both passengers and employees.
“As one of the world’s most important airports, Heathrow is at the forefront of the aviation industry, continuously innovating to improve its offering. Our goal is to be a long-term partner in this effort to enhance the passenger experience.”
