Heathrow Airport introduces limited-edition Doris and Edward bear duo
By Trbusiness Editor |
Heathrow Airport is bringing its popular bear duo, Doris and Edward Bair, to its airport retail estate for the first time. Passengers who share their names with the pair can claim one for free.
From tomorrow 25 March, passengers will be able to buy a limited-edition Doris and Edward Bair at World Duty Free and Glorious Britain stores across Heathrow, and via Reserve & Collect (RSP £27.99/US$37.42).
For that one day only, passengers named Doris or Edward can pick up their free bear while stocks last, by showing a valid passport or boarding pass at the information desk in the terminal they are departing from.
First introduced in Heathrow’s 2016 Christmas advert, Doris and Edward have become firm favourites with families and travellers. Their stories of love, family and reunion have made them two of the airport’s most recognisable characters, whose journeys celebrate the joy of travel and the excitement of setting off on new adventures with loved ones.
The retail launch follows the return of Doris and Edward in Heathrow’s latest marketing campaign, which aired in October 2025. The advert sees the bears exploring the airport together before preparing for their next trip abroad, capturing the playful and heartwarming moments that make travel special.
Heathrow Retail Director Fraser Brown said: “Bringing Doris and Edward Bair into our stores has been a real passion project for all of us at Heathrow. The response we have seen to each new chapter in their story has shown just how much passengers love them.
“As we celebrate 80 years of Heathrow connecting people and places, it feels like the perfect moment for them to join our passengers on new adventures.”
Heathrow already sells more than 82,000 teddies each year – an average of more than 220 per day. July and August see the highest number of toy and bear sales. Popular choices include the Harrods bear, London-themed toys, and Paddington Bear and his merchandise.
