By Charlotte Turner |

The Lindt Chocolate Competence Foundation is delighted to announced that after three years of construction, the Lindt Home of Chocolate will open to the public on 13 September, 2020.

It will feature an interactive exhibition, a research facility, a spectacular nine-metre high chocolate fountain, a ‘Chocolate Heaven’ tasting room, the first Lindt Café, a Chocolateria for chocolate courses and the largest Lindt Chocolate boutique in the world.

As reported, Lindt & Sprüngli Travel Retail is the latest company to announce its support of TRMarketplace, by sponsoring the TRMarketplace confectionery webinar.

The Swiss confectionery firm joins Mondelez World Travel Retail, which has also committed support to the travel retail and duty free industry’s first digital networking event (28 September – 2 October).

CREATE YOUR OWN MASTERPIECE

As well as giving visitors the chance to sample Lindt chocolate creations to their hearts’ content, the Swiss chocolatier insists that providing information and education is an important function of the new facility.

Costing CHF 100 million to construct, the extraordinary building at Lindt & Sprüngli’s historic headquarters in Kilchberg will also allow visitors to observe Lindt Master Chocolatiers in action.

“With the construction of the Lindt Home of Chocolate, we have created a Chocolate Competence Center that is unique in Switzerland and will strengthen the innovation of our industry over the long term,” says Ernst Tanner, President of the Lindt Chocolate Competence Foundation’s Board.
