Helsinki Duty Free launches new off-airport sales initiative at Hilton Hotel

By Andrew Pentol |

The event will take place at the Hilton Hotel from 24 November to 2 December 2020.

Travel retailer Dufry Group has launched a Helsinki Duty Free ‘friend sales’ initiative outside the Vantaa International Airport terminal.

A range of products including cosmetics, fragrances, sweets, toys, clothing and accessories will be available in the nearby Hilton Hotel from 24 November to 2 December 2020.

Christmas gifts will also be offered in a special Santa container and customers are encouraged to wear face-masks.

According to the company, products will be 40% to 80% cheaper than ‘already affordable’ duty free prices.

HOTEL BOOKING INCENTIVE

Shoppers can also book double rooms at the hotel for a preferential rate of €80/$95 per night during the event. All they have to do is quote the code ‘Friend Sales’ when booking. The offer is valid on stays up to 31 December 2020.

The retailer said: “We have decided to bring Helsinki Duty Free ‘friend sales’ outside the terminal. I am sure many of us not only miss travelling, but the airport atmosphere as well and duty free shopping before boarding.

“Everyone is welcome to enjoy the airport atmosphere and great deals without a plane ticket.”

A range of products including cosmetics, fragrances, sweets, toys, clothing and accessories will be available as part of the initiative.
