Hendricks-gin-LHR-T3-WDFSuper-premium gin Hendrick’s is coaxing travellers’ attentions at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 3 with snow flurries and unusual novelties.

A highly visible snow globe activation at the World Duty Free (WDF) walkthrough shop running until 7 January boasts the traditional Hendrick’s bottle surrounded by animated characters and snowflakes housed within a giant snow globe.

Selected customers are being invited to turn the ‘Key to Curiosity’ underneath the globe for a special Hendrick’s cracker containing either a 5cl gin bottle, cucumber pin badge or a ‘Little Guide to Conjuring’ magic book.

TIS THE SEASON FOR SURPRISES…

For a limited time only, one lucky traveller is being given the chance to pull a special cracker containing a rare stainless steel ‘penguin pourer’.

Supporting the pop-up are digital media banners running through the walkthrough that feature the message: ‘May your holidays be stirred with wonder.’

Meanwhile, brand ambassadors with festive bow ties and Hendrick’s aprons are present to meet and greet passengers and offer them a free sample of Hendrick’s and tonic or a ‘Gin Buck’ (ginger ale and fresh lime juice).

Manjot Riyait, Head of Marketing, William Grant & Sons Global Travel Retail points to the ‘phenomenal’ response received from shoppers, store managers and staff alike since the activation went live earlier this month.

“There has been a constant buzz of passengers around the globe, taking photos and enjoying a Hendrick’s and tonic, and we look forward to delighting many more happy travellers over what we expect to be a busy and fruitful festive period for global travel retail.”
