Henkell Freixenet celebrates Interactive Wine Finder at Frankfurt Airport

This new Henkell Freixenet digital activation provides valuable insights for consumers on which wine to choose, while creating memorable and super-efficient shopping journey for customers.
Henkell Freixenet has launched promotion at Frankfurt International Airport from April 3 to July 2, showcasing its Interactive Wine Finder for Schloss Johannisberg Riesling Wines in the Heinemann shop at Terminal 1B.
Grab any bottle from the display, and instantly the product information pops up on the big screen, providing information on product characteristics, grape variety, food pairing suggestion and origins. Whether for self-consumption or gifting, the system also lets consumers compare different wines in the activation.
“Activations like this play an important role for us. Travelers like to experience new brands in airports and are more open to discover new products. Furthermore, they want them to 100% meet their needs. In our latest activation we deliver the perfect digital solution to find your perfect wine match, making it easy to find exactly the wine you would like to drink,” said Ramon Olive Head of Sales of GTR.
“For Riesling connoisseurs, we have increased our portfolio at Frankfurt airport to satisfy all palates and to bring something different to them. We have been listed this year with 2 additional SKU’s for Schloss Johannisberg – Bronzelack and Rosalack not only in Germany but also in Turkish airports. With the interactive wine finder we want to uptrade the Schloss Johannisberg consumer and give them more options at the time of buying their favourite Riesling brand.”
As Frankfurt is the nearest airport to the iconic Schloss Johannisberg winery, Henkell noted it was the natural choice to introduce the wine finder there for the first time – making the brand accessible at the airport for those travellers visiting the Rheingau area, the home of Riesling, who are going back home from their trips.
