Kering Eyewear has acquired Lenti, an Italian lens manufacturer, enhancing its production capabilities and reinforcing its commitment to ‘Made in Italy’ quality.
According to Kering, the acquisition of the Bergamo-based company strengthens Kering Eyewear’s industrial footprint.
Lenti has been part of the Safilo Group since its founding in 1996 by entrepreneur Marco Negri.
Lenti, which employs about 100 staff, specialises in moulding and surface treatments for sun lenses, visors, and protective components for eyewear, lighting, automotive and motorcycle sectors.
In-house expertise
This acquisition supports Kering Eyewear’s strategy to develop in-house expertise for premium sun lenses, known for their quality and innovation, according to Roberto Vedovotto, Founder, President and CEO of Kering Eyewear.
He said: “We have appreciated the excellence of Lenti’s products for many years and we are very proud to see it now joining Kering Eyewear, providing an additional area of expertise to our platform of best-in-class manufacturing skills, facilities, and, more than anything else, talents.”

Established in 2014 under Kering, Kering Eyewear manages 14 luxury brands, including Gucci, Cartier, and proprietary brands Lindberg, Maui Jim, and Zeal Optics.
