Lagardère, Atos and Brussels Airport offer ‘Quick N’ Easy’ product sales

A tripartite partnership is allowing passengers at Brussels Airport to purchase duty free items using a new convenient and automated transaction process.
Lagardère Travel Retail Belgium and Atos have worked to develop a concept for travellers at Brussels Airport Pier A that uses interactive furniture and 3D (Lidar) cameras for a quick and convenient shopping experience.
After entering the store by scanning their boarding pass, shoppers can choose items of interest that are grouped in a virtual basket as they enter the payment area.
They are then required to check the details of their basket, complete the transaction with a card and leave the point-of-sale area after completion.
Dubbed ‘Quick N’ Easy’, the point-of-sale area sells a range of best-selling Belgian beers and chocolates.
Setting apart the retail experience
