Lagardère Travel Retail Albania has strengthened its commitment to the local community with the opening of a new computer laboratory at the Rexhe Deliu School in Rinas, close to Tirana International Airport.

The initiative forms part of the company’s wider corporate social responsibility programme, focused on delivering long-term benefits in the communities surrounding its airport operations.

The new facility has been created through direct investment by Lagardère Travel Retail Albania and is designed to support digital learning from an early age, giving students access to technology that can enhance both education and future career opportunities. The project reflects the company’s belief that its role in the airport ecosystem extends beyond commercial activity to include positive social impact at a local level.

Stanislav Beránek, CEO of Lagardère Travel Retail Albania, said the initiative aligns closely with the company’s ownership structure and values. “Lagardère is a company owned by two shareholders, Lagardère Travel Retail and Kastrati Group. We have a commitment programme which aims to help local communities, and that’s why we are here today – to open this computer laboratory at the School of Rinas,” he commented.

He added that supporting education close to the airport is a natural extension of the business. “It’s part of our commitment to the community which lives around the airport, because at Lagardère we also care about the place where we conduct our business. I believe this project will help improve education from the very beginning and support students in their future careers.”

The opening of the computer lab underlines Lagardère Travel Retail Albania’s ongoing focus on community engagement, reinforcing its position as a responsible long-term partner in the regions where it operates.
