Lagardère Travel Retail unveils The Gallery in Barcelona hybrid concept

The Gallery in Barcelona

The Gallery in Barcelona opens for business.

Lagardère Travel Retail has opened “The Gallery In Barcelona,” an innovative hybrid concept that combines a fashion boutique and a stylish gourmet bar.

Located in Barcelona-El Prat Airport T1, the 700sq m space aims to offer travellers the opportunity to shop while relaxing and savouring top-quality gourmet foods.

Developed internally by Lagardère Travel Retail Spain & Portugal, the store houses two distinct businesses – fashion and food – within a single space.

The unique business model aims to add significant value to the existing offer, setting Barcelona apart as a distinctive and tailored destination within Spanish airports. It also highlights Lagardère Travel Retail’s expertise in 360° travel retail, according to the company.

A new hybrid space at Barcelona Airport

Strategically positioned beneath the VIP lounge and en route to the T1 non-Schengen boarding gates, The Gallery in Barcelona benefits from both domestic and European traffic, attracting high-spending passengers travelling to destinations such as China, the US, South America, and the Middle East.
