The activation centred travel fragrance formats within a Parisian pâtisserie theme.

L’Oréal Travel Retail recently concluded a ‘Little Scented Luxuries’ activation at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport T2.

The event, which ran from 27 January to 23 February, was inspired by Parisian pâtisseries, and reimagined the concept of ‘small ticket luxury’ using travel fragrance formats.

Three central podiums anchored the activation, complemented by five mobile trolleys in the boarding lounges, which extended reach beyond the core duty free footprint and targeted time-pressed travellers directly.

The experience showcased fragrances from Lancôme, Yves Saint Laurent, Armani and Mugler. Each refillable travel spray could be transformed into a ‘scented souvenir’ using exclusive Paris-inspired charms, further underlining the activation’s sense of place.

The staging incorporated vibrant pink hues and a “gourmand” design to evoke the world of Parisian pastry shops. The travel sprays and their personalised charms were showcased under elegant glass cloches, mimicking the way macarons and delicate pastries are displayed in fine French pâtisseries.

Five mobile trolleys extended the activation’s reach to the airport’s boarding lounges.

The initiative aligns with shifting consumer preferences towards portable formats. According to L’Oréal Travel Retail, 32% of fragrance consumers now favour smaller, more versatile sizes, as they prioritise convenience, collectability and sustainability.

The focus on refillable travel formats supports L’Oréal Travel Retail’s broader refill fragrance ambitions, encouraging new eco-responsible habits and a longer product lifecycle.
