The Board of Directors at Flughafen Zürich AG has appointed current Chief Financial Officer Lukas Brosi as Chief Executive Officer.
He replaces current CEO Stephan Widrig, who will depart the company at the end of April to take on a new challenge outside the business.
In a statement, the airport said: “With this appointment, the Board of Directors ensures a seamless transition in management and continuity in strategic orientation.
“The Board of Directors is convinced that Lukas Brosi will further develop the company both strategically and culturally and successfully lead it through the entrepreneurial priorities and challenges of the coming years.”
Brossi, a Swiss national, joined Flughafen Zürich AG in 2009 and has been Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Management Board since 2017.
In addition to responsibility for the finance department, he is involved in all strategic projects and oversees ICT projects for digitisation and sustainability and the environment.
Flughafen Zürich AG is targeting net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040.
