By Administrator |

BAA has reported that 13.6m passengers passed through its airports in September, a 0.6%increase on the same month last year, although North Atlantic traffic fell.

BAA said European scheduled traffic, which accounts for 41% of all its passengers, rose 5.1%, the same rate of increase as passengers on long-haul flights outside North America.
The number of passengers flying on North Atlantic routes representing 13% of the total fell by 2% in the month, just two months after British police said they had foiled a plot to blow up US-bound airliners. European charter traffic also fell by 7.9%.
