Marine City Duty Free partners with Phére to enhance TR experience

Marine City Duty Free, a travel retail agency based in Tallinn, has announced a strategic partnership with luxury design brand Phére, known for its atmosphere devisers.

The collaboration, unveiled at the TR Consumer Forum in Amsterdam, aims to elevate the travel retail experience by introducing sustainable, high-end design products.

According to travel retail category manager Aire Kraas, Marine City Duty Free, which was formed in November 2020, has built a portfolio of premium brands including Nora Norway fashion jewellery, Swiss-made Jowissa watches, Marmara Sterling jewellery, Siena handmade hair accessories, Orobianco bags and luggage and Denizen Destination items.

The addition of Phére marks the agency’s expansion into the luxury design segment, aligning with the growing demand for sophisticated and sustainable products in travel retail.

Phére, established in 2021, is driven by a philosophy that “counters overconsumption and the loss of intrinsic value in material objects”.

The brand collaborates with designers, farmers and master glassblowers to create functional products such as atmosphere devisers that offer a sustainable alternative to traditional room fragrances.

These products, designed for premium retail and hospitality settings like airport lounges, combine elegance, durability, and a connection to nature, boasting a product lifecycle said to be far superior to conventional offerings.

Kraas emphasised the synergy between Phére’s offerings and the evolving travel retail landscape: “Phére atmosphere devisers are the perfect addition, creating a relaxing ambience that combines beauty, connection to nature, and long product life,” she commented.

The partnership reflects Marine City Duty Free’s commitment to curating innovative, high-quality products that resonate with global travellers. Phére’s debut at the TR Consumer Forum garnered significant interest from industry leaders, underscoring its potential to redefine luxury in travel retail.
