Mayhem at Heathrow as fog grounds aircraft

By Administrator |

Freezing fog is playing havoc with short-haul flights from London Heathrow today, after a day of misery yesterday when British Airways alone was forced to cancel 160 of its 400 short-haul flights.

The bad weather is expected to stay for at least another day with flights between Heathrow and Europe particularly badly hit, although BA's long haul services have continued to operate, but with lengthy delays.
The bad weather conditions have also forced cancellations at London Gatwick Airport and British Airways is now warning passengers at Heathrow that they should contact the airport before travelling to confirm their flights are still running.
