Munich Airport launches 25th edition of Christmas and winter market
By Trbusiness Editor |
Munich Airport has unveiled its 25th Christmas and winter market at the Munich Airport Centre. Running from 14 November until 28 December, the seasonal event remains a consistent draw for travellers, visitors and airport employees.
This year’s market includes a pine-tree forest, food & beverage huts, and around 40 stalls featuring regional products, culinary specialties and handmade gifts. A 600sq m ice rink will once again be available for skating and curling, with advance booking required.
Visitors can enjoy a varied programme of activities and entertainment, including Advent wreath making, arts and crafts, face painting, magic shows and soap bubble performances. Santa Claus will also be visiting this year, making appearances on 27 November, 6 December and 19 December.
A new addition for 2025 is the “Wish Tree” initiative, taking place on 6-7 December. This activity invites visitors to support children from local charities by selecting and fulfilling the various wish card gift requests placed on the wishing tree. Purchases can be dropped off at the “Elk Hut” by 18 December.
Evening performances from regional musicians will provide live entertainment across a range of genres. Visitors can also take part in 50-minute Christmas light tours, bookable online, starting from the tour meeting point within the market area.

The Christmas and winter market includes a pre-bookable 600sq m ice rink, offering both skating and curling.
The winter market is open daily from 11 am to 9 pm (closing at 4pm on Christmas Eve). Admission is free, with one hour of free parking and reduced rates available for stays of up to three hours.
