Munich Airport reports that it has passed the 30m annual passenger mark this year with Flughafen M?nchen Ceo Dr Michael Kerkloh likening it to joining ‘the European league of European hubs’.
The 30 millionth passenger arrived this month to a personal welcome from Kerkloh, as passengers arriving on a flight from Barcelona Airport were met with the regalia of an authentic Bavarian brass band.
Along with Kerkloh, Dr. Kurt Faltlhauser, Bavaria?s Finance Minister and Chairman of the FMG Supervisory Board surprised passenger Michael Doss from the German town of Amberg with a huge bouquet of flowers and two gift certificates worth E.500 each for shopping and dining at Munich Airport?s retail and restaurant outlets.
The gift certificates were sponsored by Munich Airport?s restaurant and retail subsidiaries, Allresto and Eurotrade. Lufthansa?s Station Manager at Munich, Burkhard Feuge also chipped in by presenting Doss with two business class tickets to Athens.
