Munz brings a taste of Swiss luck to Geneva Airport
By Naomi Chadderton |
Swiss chocolate brand Munz has teamed up with Geneva Airport and Lagardère Travel Retail Switzerland for an interactive activation combining chocolate tasting, entertainment and a distinctly Swiss photo opportunity.
Supported by promotion agency Globe Travel Retail, the experience is centred around the Munz Ladybird, the brand’s Swiss lucky charm, which has been transformed into a Microlino in the character’s distinctive red-and-black design.
Rather than simply serving as a display, the vehicle invites passengers to step inside, take a seat and capture a souvenir photograph before continuing their journey.
Younger travellers can get involved through a Munz chocolate grabber machine, where they can try to win a chocolate Ladybird, adding a gaming element to the experience.
Sampling also plays a central role, with passengers able to taste a selection of Munz chocolates, including Avelines, a Swiss chocolate speciality associated with Geneva.
The partners said the activation has been designed to bring together product discovery with a stronger sense of place, using Munz’s Swiss heritage and playful brand identity to create a memorable interaction with travellers before departure.
Faozia Math Ly Roun of Maestrani said: “The Munz Ladybird has been bringing a little happiness and good luck to people in Switzerland for generations. Together with Geneva Airport and Lagardère Travel Retail Switzerland, we can now share that feeling with travellers from all over the world – combining Swiss chocolate, playfulness and an experience they can take with them long after their journey continues.”
