Aeroporti Internazionale di Napoli (Naples International Airport) has received expressions of interest (EOI) from leading travel retailers for two convenience stores (tobacconist and newsagent).

Hudson News (Dufry), Relay (Lagardère Travel Retail) and WHSmith have lodged letters of interest in the tender alongside local operators, TRBusiness reliably understands.

A result for the two units, which span 246sq m in total and are located at ground floor level in the airside and landside areas of the passenger terminal, is expected in due course following proposal evaluations.

Operator GE. SAC SpA (Gestione Servizi Aeroporti Campani) issued tenancies for the two sub-concessions encompassing newspapers and tobacco and residual categories such as books, packaged food and drinks, gadgets, souvenirs, technical items and various lotteries in March.

The deadline for proposals was 12:00pm (local time) on 25 March. Expressions of interest for both units only were accepted.
