NeuhausBelgian chocolatier Neuhaus is bringing seasonal novelty and excitement to Brussels-Zaventem and Amsterdam Schiphol airports with an Easter-themed assortment.

Neuhaus, which today counts more than 70 airports in its sales portfolio, experienced positive growth in 2016, despite weakened regional currencies such as the Japanese yen, coupled with a decline in China travel spend, Director International Sales Philip Geeraert told TRBusiness in an interview in December.

A BRIGHT 2017…

“The future for travel retail is bright – we know the number of passengers will increase to almost 20m by 2035,” Geeraert said at the time.

“Confectionery has a very broad approach, it is still a very accessible and affordable gift for people and it has a lot of potential.

“2017 will be a good year and we will have good distribution expansion. On the other hand, I think that Asia will still be a challenging area.”
