Fraport Greece will introduce fresh commercial areas at Mykonos Airport as part of an extensive upgrade.
The operator has unveiled first-look architectural visuals of the new terminal, which will benefit from a €25m ($28m) capital injection to transform it by 2021.
As reported, Dufry-owned Hellenic Duty Free is set to open a new walkthrough duty free shop as part of a pipeline of retail developments that extends to its other airports in Thessaloniki, Corfu, Samos, Kefalonia, Santorini, Mytilini and Kos.
Aside new retail and F&B – TRBusiness has approached Fraport Greece for further detail – the work at Mykonos includes a 2,000sq m expansion of the existing building to house a new arrivals zone, with a further 500sq m in construction to accommodate extra gates.
