Nuance wins Prestwick

The Nuance Group has won a seven-year contract from Infratil Airports Europe Ltd (IAEL) to manage the duty free and duty paid stores at Glasgow Prestwick airport, commencing February 2006. The contract is expected to

generate sales revenues of E80m ($94.7m) over the full term.
Prestwick currently handles around 1.5m departing passengers a year, of which around 0.5m travel to the UK mainland each year.Nuance will be operating from the existing shop which covers 312sq m offering liquor, tobacco, perfumes and cosmetics, as well as confectionery, gifts, technology, souvenirs and fashion accessories. The fashion offer will primarily feature sunglasses and a choice of Bijoux Terner products.
The partners have agreed on an enhancement of the existing offer during the third year of the contract. Nuance has also been offered the opportunity to partner with IAEL at their two other airport locations ? at Kent International and Lubeck in Germany.
