Pallini partners with Flamigni to launch Limoncello Panettone and citrus cake

Premium limoncello brand, Pallini Limoncello, has joined forces with confectionery company Flamigni to launch two new food novelties in duty free in time for Christmas.
The 350g and 950g Limoncello Panettone is covered with icing and filled with custard enriched with Pallini Limoncello.
The Dolce Limoncello cake has an intense citrus flavour and is filled with Limoncello Pallini scented pastry cream.
The co-branding between the historic Roman distillery and the well-known Forlì-based confectionery company offers a taste of Italy to travelling consumers who appreciate the iconic liqueur, which is sold in duty free and travel retail.
The new food items are available in duty free stores in ‘major international companies’, from Australia to the US.
“The collaboration with Flamigni was born to enhance the great versatility of our limoncello,” commented Luca Pallini, Export Brand Manager of Pallini.

For the 300g format, Dolce Limoncello is presented in vibrant packaging.
The dough is filled with Limoncello Pallini scented pastry cream and is hand-decorated with sugar grains.
The Panettone al Limoncello comes in elegant 950g and 350g packages.
The ‘soft and fragrant’ dough is prepared with natural ingredients, combined with Limoncello essence custard and covered with white chocolate and crunchy lemon pralines.

In November, a giant 10kg Panettone al Limoncello Pallini took centre stage at an event that took place on the Pallini Terrace at the Lagardère Travel Retail shop in Terminal 3 of Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci Airport on 29 November.
Luca Pallini and Massimo Buli of Flamigni delighted travellers with a live cooking show where the giant panettone was available to taste – sliced and flavoured with limoncello essences – alongside Pallini Limoncello Spritz cocktails.

The vibrant packaging is designed to evoke a sense of the abundance of lemons growing along the Amalfi coast.
“Working with a historic company like Pallini and its iconic limoncello is a challenge that we took up with great enthusiasm,” added Massimo Buli, Owner of Pasticceria Flamigni.
“Our collaboration came about very naturally: we specialise in creating high-quality confectionery products and we can customise any brand or product.
“Together with Pallini, we have created two small works of art, which will appeal to international tourists who search for innovation and high quality in ‘made in Italy’ foods.”
