Rome meets London at new Bulgari ‘temple’ in Heathrow’s Terminal 3

By Charlotte Turner |

Bulgari, Dufry Group and Heathrow Airport have reinforced their long-established partnership with the opening of a new boutique, which takes inspiration from a Roman temple in its design.

The new 91sq m store, designed by Peter Marino, is located in Terminal 3.

Bulgari Travel Retail Europe Managing Director, Jonathan Brinbaum said: “With Dufry and Heathrow Airport, our long-lasting partners, we are proud to celebrate this new Bulgari Temple.

“Despite these historically challenging times for travel retail, we have been able to build and open the boutique. It is an important testimony to the strength of the tripartite agreement we are currently in and of the confidence [we have in] travel retail’s rebound.

IN-BUILT VIP ROOM

“Built to welcome the passengers of Heathrow and to share with them the Bulgari joy of crafting gemstones and to offering a unique experience in a prestigious VIP room, this new flagship is the perfect expression of Bulgari’s Roman DNA and savoir-faire. We are thus truly confident in the future of this new incredible space, where Rome meets London.”

Fred Creighton, CEO for Dufry in the UK added: “The creation of this unique Bulgari store is the result of a close collaboration between ourselves, Bulgari and Heathrow airport – and as such it’s a great example of a trinity approach.

“Heathrow’s Terminal 3 is the ideal location to showcase an exciting range of luxurious products from such an iconic and sought after brand as Bulgari and we have had very positive feedback from our customers.”

To celebrate the opening of this new boutique, Bulgari has created a unique Serpenti Forever bag; exclusive to Heathrow travellers. Just 50 pieces of this limited edition item will be available at Bulgari’s Heathrow boutiques.
