International passenger traffic at St Petersburg Pulkovo Airport has fallen by 12.9% to 625,660 for the first four months of 2009, with passenger traffic to neighbouring former CIS countries down by 1.2% to 130,879 passengers.

In total, Pulkovo's passenger traffic fell by 13.6% to 1,536,974, with domestic passenger numbers also down by 15.8% to 780 435.

The airport reports that the number of take-off and landing operations for the first four months of 2009 reduced by 12.6% to 23 694 movements.
