The Nuance Group has opened a new Swarovski concept store located on level 1 of Zürich Airport’s Airside Centre, bringing the number of ‘Store in Stores (SIS) operated by The Nuance Group in Europe to ten, with two more set to open next month.
Andrea Belardini, Ceo Europe said: “The opening of this new concept store in Zürich, reaffirms our strong partnership with Swarovski, who shares our vision for creating a truly outstanding retail environment. Having opened our first Swarovski store here in 2002, we are pleased to be one of the first European outlets for this exciting new concept which forms part of our wider expansion programme now underway at Zürich Airport.”
MASSIVE EXPANSION
In March this year, The Nuance Group announced its Zurich Airport concession had been extended until 2018, revealing plans to add over 3,000sq m of shop floor, including new state-of-the-art walk-through concepts for its existing Tax Free stores, which are expected to open by the end of 2011.
The company says it also plans to open two new spacious Arrival Duty Free stores, as soon as the necessary Swiss legislation is in place.
This latest Swarovski 45sq m opening introduces the new Swarovski ‘Crystal Forrest’ architecture store concept to travellers departing from and transiting through Zürich Airport.
LONG RELATIONSHIP
Peter Zottl, Vice President Travel Retail, Swarovski said: “Swarovski considers Zürich Kloten one of the world’s leading airports. Further to our long and loyal co-operation with The Nuance Group we are very happy to be present with a new and truly elegant shop.
“The ‘Crystal Forrest’ concept was developed by Tokujin Yoshioka to be subtle and slightly minimalistic, providing the perfect backdrop to highlight our crystal, jewellery and watch range in a most attractive and appealing way.
“With this shop, The Nuance Group and Swarovski offer passengers departing from Zürich Airport a first-class and state-of-the-art shopping experience before take-off.”
