The Botanist Gin brings Hebridean Strength TREX to UK with Avolta

The Botanist Gin has bolstered its position in UK travel retail after introducing its latest sku Hebridean Strength with retail partner Avolta.

Hebridean Strength has launched as a travel retail exclusive at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 throughout November, as the handcrafted gin produced at the Bruichladdich distillery on the Scottish island of Islay strengthens its return to airports across the UK.

Rémy Cointreau Global Travel Retail CEO Fida Bou Chabke, appointed in July, said: “We are thrilled to unveil The Botanist Hebridean Strength to the UK market, in collaboration with our partners at Avolta.

“Inviting our travelling clients to embark on a sensory journey, the interactive activation not only showcases the intricate details that make The Botanist exceptional, but also offers a unique opportunity to explore the essence of the Hebrides. We believe this immersive experience will leave a lasting impression, allowing travellers to explore, savour, and be captivated by the essence of exceptional craftsmanship.”

The Botanist Hebridean Strength features a more intense blend of the 22 hand-foraged Islay botanicals found in The Botanist Islay Dry Gin.

Bottled at a higher strength (51.5% ABV), the latest expression pledges a ‘bolder, richer and deeper flavour’ and a ‘complex and more textured experience’.

Accompanying the launch is an interactive activation designed to capture travellers’ attentions, with a bar inviting them to explore the diverse flavours of the Hebrides and learn about the expression’s different scents, botanical blends and Islay-inspired heritage.

The Botanist Gallery Wall invites customers to explore the brand’s savoir faire.

Visitors can enjoy the TREX edition neat or in a signature Bolder Gin & Tonic cocktail. Alternatively, guests can explore the gin’s aromas using a specially designed ‘Nosing Trumpet’, created specifically for the channel.

The Botanist Gallery Wall invites customers to explore the brand’s savoir faire with rotating strips and flipping panels showcasing the island of Islay and the craft behind The Botanist.
