Two limited edition Chanel Sycomore and Maisons d’art coffrets launch in TR
By Faye Bartle |
Two out of the 20 new ultra–limited edition numbered Sycomore and Maisons d’art coffrets by Chanel are now available in travel retail, at Paris and Istanbul airports.
Travellers can take the chance to discover and acquire the N°9 at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport at the Chanel Beauty Studio Terminal 2E Gate L, in partnership with Lagardère Travel Retail.
The N°14 can be found at Istanbul International Airport at the Chanel Fragrance & Beauty corner, in partnership with Gebr. Heinemann and Unifree Duty Free.
The exclusive set, which marks the fourth collaboration between Chanel and Maisons d’Art, is centred around Sycomore Extrait – a new interpretation of the classic Sycomore Eau de Parfum that sits within Les Exclusifs de Chanel collection.
The fragrance is housed in a 50ml Baccarat crystal bottle sealed with a fine baudruche and stamped with the signature Chanel double ‘C’.
It is displayed in a luxury coffret embroidered by Maison Lesage artisans to depict a rich autumnal scene that represents the raw materials that characterise the new parfum.
For example, amethyst bicone beads and passementerie pearls are symbolic of pink peppercorns and juniper berries while thin wood shavings intertwined with golden threads recall the amber hue of the fragrance and the sycamore forest floor.

Chanel In-House Perfumer-Creator Olivier Polge composed Sycomore Extrait, which is described as a ‘woody fragrance with notes of vetiver, cedar, and vanilla’.
It features intensified accords of the original Sycomore Eau de Parfum, paired with notes of iris, accents of leather and vanilla and vetiver, to leave a ‘powerful and enveloping trail’.
This latest innovation follows the Chanel and Maisons d’Art collaborations in 2021 for Gardenia, in 2020 for Beige and 2019 for Oromandel.
