WH Smith completes opening of six Rome airport stores

The stores offer passengers a selection of Italian and international newspapers, magazines and books as well as confectionery, drinks, stationery, toys and electronic accessories.

WH Smith has completed the opening of six stores across Rome Fiumicino and Rome Ciampino Airports operated by Aeroporti di Roma (ADR). 

For stores opened at Rome Fiumicino and one at Rome Ciampino in 2017. The final store opened in the departure lounge of Ciampino Airport in February.

In Fiumicino, there are three airside stores in Areas C, D & E and a store in Terminal 3 Arrivals.  In Ciampino, the stores are located landside and airside.

The stores offer passengers a selection of Italian and international newspapers, magazines and books as well as confectionery, drinks, stationery, toys, electronic accessories and WH Smith’s exclusive own brand travel essentials range.

According to the company, the stores provide a look and feel in keeping with ADR’s design aspirations for both airports and are an important milestone in the expansion of WH Smith’s international business.

Rome Fiumicino is the largest airport in Italy serving more than 41 million passengers in 2017. In addition, 5.8 million passengers travelled through Rome Ciampino Airport last year.
