WWII bomb scare at Schiphol airport

By Charlotte Turner |

Pier C of Amsterdam Schiphol airport has been closed this morning after a suspected World War II bomb was located, by construction workers.

The operator said: “During construction activities at Pier C this morning, probably a bomb from World War II has been found.

“As a precaution, the C-pier has been closed. The bomb squad is investigating at the moment. This may have implications for air traffic in the form of cancellations and delays.”

Schiphol advises passengers to consult the Amsterdam airport website to check for updates, potential delays and cancellations.
