YSL ‘Magic Table’ finishes five week run at LGW South

By Caroline Sargent |

A five week cosmetics pop-up devised by Yves Saint Laurent in association with World Duty Free Group will come to an end this Friday 27 June after a successful run in London Gatwick South Airport.

The Yves Saint Laurent Make-up Studio takes full advantage of WDF’s Contentainment technology, immersing shoppers in a fully interactive digital video experience the instant a product is lifted from the display.

Designed to launch YSL’s latest releases, Couture Palettes and Baby Doll Kiss & Blush, the cutting edge make-up podium also demonstrated to travellers different ways to wear the brand’s stand-out product pillars: Touche Éclat and Rouge Pur Couture Vernis à Lèvres.

Featuring a ‘Magic Table’ with integrated iPad, travellers are invited to select a product from the display triggering a large screen video broadcast delivering colour, application and other tips, that shoppers can also take away in the form of quality print-outs in English, Norwegian, Mandarin and Russian.

With YSL beauty advisors on site, shoppers can also indulge in a complimentary flash make-over to experience the Couture Palettes and Baby Doll Kiss & Blush products in person.

The activation – in place from 23 May – 27 June – has been heavily promoted through World Duty Free’s social media platforms, successfully driving traffic to the dedicated YSL/WDF event site.
