Twenty five participants are taking part in the first-wave programme.

Delhi Duty Free Services (DDFS) has launched a new retail academy to bolster the experience and expertise of its employees in India.

The ‘first-of-its-kind’ programme, developed in association with the Luxury Connect Business School (LCSBS), offers a six-month certificate course in retail management to hone specific needs within the DDFS team.

Luke Gorringe, CEO of Delhi Duty Free commented: “The travel retail sector in India is undergoing a rapid transformation, and the next phase of growth will require well trained professionals capable of understanding global best retail practices to meet the unique characteristics of the Indian consumer.

“The retail academy will provide cutting-edge training that will help drive the capability of the DDFS retail team to world-class competency levels.”

Taking inspiration from fellow retailer ARI’s successful ‘ARI Way Advanced Selling Skills’ training programme, the DDFS academy begins with a first wave introduction of 25 participants, with a second phase set to be rolled out in the coming months.
