Delhi Duty Free Services (DDFS) CEO Philip Eckles has praised the travel retailer’s ‘top talents’ after the company scooped a slew of honours at two awards events held in Mumbai, India.

Ashish Chopra, Deputy CEO, DDFS won the ‘Retail Leadership Award’ and DDFS was recognised for its ‘Best Practices in CSR’ at the ET Now Rise With India Retail Excellence Awards (13 Feb), part of the 16th edition of the Asia Africa GCC Retail & Shopping Centre Congress & Awards (13-14 February).

Meanwhile, Siddhartha Jain, Head of HR, DDFS won the ‘HR Leadership Award for 2020’ and DDFS secured the ‘Best Talent Management Practices Award’ at the ET Now Rise With India Global HR Excellence Awards (15 Feb), part of the adjoining World HRD Congress (15-17 Feb).

Eckles said: “I congratulate everyone at Delhi Duty Free for being recognised for our CSR programmes & talent management practices. Given the complexity of issues today, it is extremely critical for corporates across India to look at CSR through a strategic lens.

“We work with our partner NGO agencies GMR Varalakshmi Foundation & the Lotus Flower Trust on priority areas of education, women’s empowerment and livelihood. The award is testimony to our efforts in making a difference in society through meaningful and measurable programmes.

We understand very clearly how our talent management programme helps our employees feel engaged, appropriately skilled, and motivated, allowing them to work in the direction of the company’s business goals as well as their career aspirations. This in turn, helps increase customer satisfaction and business performance.

“The award recognises our continued effort in attracting best talent & engaging them for best business results and career development. I join the entire team of Delhi Duty Free in congratulating Ashish Chopra & Siddhartha Jain for very well-deserved leadership awards.”
