Street Thunder is in its second year with the riders coming from the UAE and completing an eight-day tour around Sri Lanka on their Harley Davidsons.

Flemingo was present on the first day with three support vehicles for the riders and over twenty staff who joined in on the excitement from Colombo to Kandy with a stopover in Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.

The group is travelling the island in a convoy with some local riders and will see their journey around Sri Lanka finish in Colombo on the 15th of August for a beach party to draw an end to the highly covered event.

Day 1 ride – Colombo to Digina – 9th August 2014.

In a ride that will span around 2,000km, the group will also make a visit to a couple of Children’s Orphanages in Yatiyanthota and Ruhunu Lama Niwasaya to spend time with the children and to make a donation.

Alec Denby General Manager, Sri Lanka said: “We are excited to link up with such a globally recognized brand and to support them on their journey around this beautiful island. The objective for us as an organization is to bring excitement to our brand and to support such events that enhance tourism and bring awareness to the country. We are also continually looking for synergies to assist in our CSR drive within Sri Lanka; it is something that we are all extremely passionate about.”
