Gaurav Gupta launches Chivas XV activation at Mumbai Airport

Gaurav Gupta has headlined a high-profile promotion for the travel retail exclusive Chivas Regal XV limited-edition bottle at Mumbai International Airport, launched in partnership with Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail and Ospree Duty Free.
The designer attended the VIP opening in Departures, marking the airport debut of Chivas Regal’s global collaboration with the Indian couturier, announced in October and spanning two limited-edition designs for Chivas Regal XV and Chivas Regal 12 Year Old.
Centred around the gilded aesthetic of the Chivas Regal XV Gaurav Gupta travel retail exclusive, the activation showcases one of Gupta’s couture pieces — the sculptural, red-carpet-ready silhouettes seen on global icons including Beyonce, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Aishwarya Rai and Deepika Padukone. The space also introduces a standout innovation for the channel: an AI-powered Virtual Dressing Room that allows passengers to digitally ‘try on’ Gupta’s garments, merging fashion, whisky and technology into a single immersive experience at T2 Departures.
Gupta received a red-carpet welcome from senior leaders at Ospree Duty Free and Pernod Ricard Middle East, including Commercial Director Vincent Duchiron and Marketing Director Neha Jabbar. Accompanied by two models dressed in couture, he toured the space, performed the ceremonial ribbon cutting and signed bottles for passengers before being presented with a celebratory cake to mark the collaboration.
The Chivas Regal XV x Gaurav Gupta Limited Edition is positioned as an ode to opulence, with a bottle and presentation box shimmering in rich gold and adorned with indigenous Indian motifs interpreted through Gupta’s bold, contemporary design language. The statement styling reflects the luxury profile of the Chivas Regal XV blend, creating a collectible crossover moment for whisky and fashion aficionados alike.

The Mumbai promotion runs throughout November, supported by regional rollouts at Dubai, Delhi, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman airports, alongside listings with key travel retail operators. The Chivas Regal XV x Gaurav Gupta Limited Edition remains exclusive to global travel retail, reinforcing the channel’s role in showcasing high-impact design partnerships and limited-edition luxury releases.
