Hyderabad DF hopes new click & collect platform will convert visitors to buyers

Discounts and promotions are available to tempt customers to purchase, with HDF reporting a healthy number of website visitors keen to check product availability, prices and promotions.

Hyderabad Duty Free (HDF) has introduced a click & collect service for customers at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA).

International departure and arrival passengers can pre-book products online for pickup in a bid to make duty free purchases safer and more convenient.

“With an objective to have a presence on online marketplace, the click & collect platform will help in converting these visitors into buyers,” said HDF.

Users will have register their details on the HDF website to begin using the service.


Once complete, they can browse products and pre-order in advance of travel and collect their goods from HDF shops on production of a receipt, passport and boarding pass.

In a statement, HDF says online shopping has become the ‘new normal’ after the Covid-19 outbreak and the new service will support an ‘enhanced’ duty free shopping experience at the airport.

“With the airport witnessing a steady rise in passenger footfall, HDF, a GMR Group subsidiary, is yet again playing a catalyst for an enhanced passenger experience and businesses impacted due to Covid-19, at the airport,” it added.
