India expert leaves Alpha Group

Rakesh Chopra, one of several acknowledged experts on the Indian sub-continental duty free market is leaving the Alpha Group today, following the expiry of his consulting contract which was first signed in 2006, but subsequently
extended on two occasions.
Chopra – who runs the Eurostar Consultancy – said he was very pleased to have worked with the company: ‘It has been a tremendous experience for me to have been associated with activities on the other side of the table. Thank you all for your support. I will, however, continue my consulting work – albeit with other clients.’
Meanwhile, Chopra's responsibilities as the Regional Director of the Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA) will continue and any queries on association-related matters should be addressed to [email protected].
