A. de Fussigny sees triple digit growth in TR
By Doug Newhouse |
The Italian cognac company has enjoyed great success in travel retail since relaunching the brand, resulting in a triple digit growth since 2009. Following a concentrated push into duty free in Europe, Asia and Middle East regions, A. de Fussigny has witnessed a very positive reaction from travel retail operators.
The company takes advantage of its positioning within the market as a modern luxury brand which ‘offers a fresh, new and innovative brand concept in quite a conservative category’.
A. de Fussigny comments: “It has a strong identity…[the packaging] and designer decanters are combined with a unique style, characterised by a high concentration of aromas and smoothness”.
The brand was showcased in specially designed bars in the Airport of Ben Gurion, In Tel Aviv and in Taipei, Taiwan.
BUILDING ON TRADITION
The company was founded in 1814 by an Italian merchant named Alfonso de Fussini. Through the production of high quality traditional cognacs and the creation of innovative lines, A. de Fussigy combined modern luxury with tradition.
The brand attempts to create an authentic vision of a luxurious way of life, a commitment towards excellence and the spirit of innovation.
The brand is successful in Europe, Asia and the Middle East and has gained many listings with leading travel retail distributors such as Aelia, Aer Rianta, Nuance, James Richardson, Viking, Ever Rich and Korean Air.
The brand is set to continue its expansion in duty free and will target key internationally trafficked locations in these same key regions.
