Jost Lammers has served as CEO of Munich Airport since January 2020.

Airports Council International World (ACI World) has appointed Jost Lammers, CEO of Munich Airport, as Chair of the ACI World Governing Board for the 2026–2027 term.

Lammers succeeds Candace McGraw, former CEO of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, who concludes her tenure as ACI World’s first woman Chair after leading the organisation through a period of heightened global advocacy and strategic development.

The ACI World Governing Board is made up of 28 airport CEOs nominated by ACI’s five regions and plays a central role in setting strategic direction on airport policy, operations, sustainability and innovation on behalf of airports worldwide.

Lammers brings more than 25 years of international aviation leadership to the role. He has been a member of the ACI World Governing Board since 2019 and served as Vice Chair from 2024 to 2025. His wider industry engagement includes six years on the board of ACI EUROPE, where he was elected President in 2019 and helped steer European airports through the COVID-19 crisis, strengthening collaboration and supporting sector recovery.

Since January 2020, Lammers has served as CEO of Munich Airport, one of Europe’s leading hubs, recognised for service quality, innovation and sustainable development. Before this, he spent more than a decade as CEO of Budapest Liszt Ferenc Airport, overseeing major infrastructure modernisation and traffic growth. He has also served as President of the German Aviation Association, representing airlines, airports, air navigation services, ground handlers and retail companies.

Welcoming the appointment, ACI World Director General Justin Erbacci said: “We are proud to welcome Jost Lammers as Chair of the ACI World Governing Board. His global experience, proven leadership and deep understanding of airport operations and policy come at a pivotal moment for our industry.”

Lammers commented: “It is an honour to serve as Chair of the ACI World Governing Board. By strengthening advocacy, governance and collaboration with global partners, we can support airports in evolving as innovative, sustainable and people-focused organisations, while reinforcing their role as key drivers of mobility and economic growth.”
