Air Canada music video for ISPY is YouTube hit
By Doug Newhouse |
At last week’s ISPY event Air Canada aired a music video it filmed on various flights and numerous locations around the world, to the hit pop record Call Me Maybe by Canadian singer-songwriter Carly Rae Stepson.
The video, which was originally filmed for the “ISPY’s Got Talent” contest at the ISPY 2013 event, is now taking YouTube by storm after the video was uploaded to the video search engine on 17 January.
Last Wednesday’s evening entertainment for all airline crews at “ISPY’s Got Talent” featured ‘Loonies and Toonies’, with the Air Canada crew’s really funny ‘coordinated’ dance routine set to video/music mime winning hands down – along with a little help from hundreds of passengers (with hands up…) on its Sydney, Shanghai and Mexico City route sectors.
Sponsored by Britvic, the event was presented by Paul Lacy, MD of STI Airlines Sales and Services Ltd and judged by Bob Franks, Senior Commercial Manager, Britvic; Carolyn Mariani, Senior VP, Vendor Relations – complete with commentary by Martyn Westbury, International Travel Retail Manager, Mars.
ISPY Managing Director Christine Martin told TRBusiness this week that the highly amusing three-minute video has since gone globally viral, with more than 18,500 hits to date and she says the sheer effort and detail just demonstrates how much preparation and good humour some crews really put in to participating at this special ISPY event.
