Under the terms of the partnership, gategroup will deliver ‘a seamless and fully integrated end-to-end solution that delivers best in class flight services’ for the airline, which is 100% owned by the Globalia travel and tourism group.

Short-, medium- and long-haul flights will offer culinary offerings in business and economy classes, with business meals and buy-on-board services available on short- and medium-haul routes.

The services will be co-ordinated from a number of locations in Spain (including Air Europa’s hub operation in Madrid) and from Latin America, where gategroup has a presence in São Paulo.

“We are delighted that our flexibility, commitment and innovation have been recognised as strong differentiators and will establish a strong foundation for our relationship with Air Europa,” added Xavier Rossinyol, CEO, gategroup.  “Our value proposition conveys an exciting blend of technology, retail and culinary innovation which will allow Air Europa to deliver a superior offering to their passengers.”
