Livney: “The intention behind Connecta is to unlock value by digitising the airport experience.”

Airport Dimensions, best known for its airport lounges, has appointed Jeff Livney as Vice President of Business Development, Digital Products to drive the expansion of its Connecta platform. The service is designed to seamlessly integrate digital services, lounges, and commercial opportunities into a single, intelligent ecosystem.

London-based Livney – the Co-founder of airport self-service ordering platform Servy, which has previously partnered with Airport Dimensions – will be at the forefront of the latter’s strategic vision of becoming an omnichannel airport experience provider. To do that, the company sees its mission as making journeys more enjoyable for travellers and “more profitable for the airport”.

Recent research from Airport Dimensions, which surveyed senior airport decision makers worldwide, revealed that 94% view digital capabilities as ‘absolutely essential’ or ‘important’ for improving commercial returns.

The study, titled ‘Explore the Experience Era’, notes that deploying emerging technologies is essential for commercial success, with almost half (47%) of airport leaders saying that a fully integrated, end-to-end journey platform will be critical within the next decade.

Airport Dimensions migrates towards digital

In June 2025, Airport Dimensions launched the latest version of Connecta to enable early engagement, cross-selling, and data-driven insights for itself and its clients. Livney will lead the implementation and global growth of the Connecta platform, driving adoption across airports worldwide. According to the company, the platform can result in stronger customer relationships, improved experiences, more satisfied travellers, and revenue growth.

As well as securing new airport contracts, Livney’s remit includes developing strategic partnerships that strengthen the platform’s capabilities. He told TRBusiness: “The intention behind Connecta is to unlock value by digitising the airport experience. People are expecting a more digital-forward journey when they travel, just like they are used to at home. The digital evolution of the airport experience is reaching a critical inflection point.”

He added that geographically his initial focus would be on the Americas, where there is “a lot of opportunity” and where Airport Dimensions has a lot of lounger assets, but that Connecta would be implemented globally at airports of all sizes.

Airport Dimensions – part of privately-owned Collinson – has seen rapid global expansion with its physical airport experiences and currently operates 87 airport lounges and experiences (including some in development) in North America, South America, Asia Pacific, the UK, and the Middle East. Its Club Aspire at London Heathrow took the title of World’s Leading Airport Lounge 2024 at the World Travel Awards. As well as lounges, the company offers sleep pods, convenient food ordering, and the contactless collection of duty-free.

Timely appointment

Airport Dimensions wants to repeat that physical success story in the digital realm, and Livney, as a recognised innovator in the travel tech space, has been picked to do it. He has more than a decade of experience across product development, commercial strategy, and operations.

He joined Airport Dimensions on 1 October from GrayMatter Software Solutions, where he served as VP of Products. His move follows GrayMatter’s acquisition of Servy, a business Livney co-founded in 2014 and where he was Chief Experience Officer. At Servy, he led partnerships with airports, developers, and merchants to scale the platform across global markets at speed.

Mignon Buckingham, CEO of Airport Dimensions, said: “Jeff’s entrepreneurial history and deep domain expertise in digital airport commerce are unparalleled. His established relationships and knowledge of the Connecta platform’s technical partner, GrayMatter, will ensure a rapid start, pushing the boundaries of non-aeronautical revenue growth for our partners.”
