Alpha ups OMG! Awards to Thomas Cook globally

By Doug Newhouse |

Thomas-Cook-smallAlpha LSG is to launch its OMG! Awards ‘globally’ across the entire Thomas Cook Airlines’ network in 2016, to further recognise and reward the inflight sales achievements of all Thomas Cook Airlines’ cabin crew in 2016.

This follows the extension of Alpha LSG’s contract, which was first reported by TRBusiness more than a week ago, as well as the inaugural OMG! Awards for Thomas Cook Airlines staged in the UK in 2015, which were described as ‘a resounding success’.

Alex Forbes, Alpha LSG CEO said: “Cabin crews are our front-line sales team and therefore engagement with them and training are absolutely vital ingredients to the overall success of our Inflight Retail programme.

“The retail team at Alpha LSG has worked extremely hard to develop the OMG! Awards event which has really caught the imagination of the cabin crew and will now embrace crews across the entire Thomas Cook Airlines global network.

“Over the next few years we will continue to develop our relationship with Thomas Cook Airlines to deliver even greater results for passenger satisfaction and to explore further opportunities for revenue growth.”

TRBusiness also reported the rewards initiative organised last summer by Alpha LSG in conjunction with Cecil Macdonald and Portfolio Partners, where – for the fourth time – the top selling crew in a ‘Super Incentive’ sales initiative were rewarded for their sales skills with more than £12,000/$18,300 in prize money.
