ARI ‘Dublin to Delhi’ rallies global teams to raise Covid-19 relief funds for India

By Luke Barras-hill |

ARI has laid down the exercise gauntlet in an important philanthropic gesture. All colleagues are asked to get involved before 23 May.

Aer Rianta International (ARI) has challenged its worldwide teams to travel the equivalent of 7,080 km to raise critical funds in support of India’s pandemic relief efforts.

Employees and their families and friends can choose to cycle, walk or run the distance between the travel retailer’s headquarters in Dublin to India as part of the ‘Breathe for India’ mission.

Monies raised will be used to fly oxygen from Bahrain to Delhi. The hope is to raise €5,000/$6,033 by 23 May.

ARI is supporting the campaign with a corporate donation and is encouraging the travel retail industry and wider community to donate as much money as possible via the ARI Breathe for India GoFundMe page.

At the time of writing, India had recorded nearly 21.5 million confirmed cases and more than 234,000 deaths.
