Bacardi Oakheart promotion targets winter holidaymakers

By Charlotte Turner |

Bacardi is running a new Oakheart promotion in a total of 40 airport and border store locations, which serve ski resorts across Europe until the end of February.

The company aims to bring the ‘Spice Up Your Winter’ promotion to life by setting the scene with Oakheart-branded snowboards, ski racks or fur-covered bar stools. Hosts serving ‘Oak and Coke’ (Bacardi Oakheart with Coca Cola) poured over ice, will be decked out in ski goggles and hats.

“Thousands of our target consumers are sampling Bacardi Oakheart in Travel Retail and many immediately purchasing a bottle,” says Aude Rocourt, Regional Director Europe, Bacardi Global Travel Retail.

“That says everything about the quality of the spirit and how successfully we are engaging with travellers and ‘Spice Up Your Winter’ is no exception.

EUROPE’S SKI SEASON

“Europe’s ski season presents us with the perfect opportunity to reach thousands of adventurous men from LDA to 29-years-old, who are the target consumers for Bacardi Oakheart.

“We have taken full advantage and are now ensuring that they don’t miss the opportunity to taste an ‘Oak & Coke’ for themselves by creating Oakheart-owned spaces in stores which engage even the most reluctant shoppers.”

Anyone purchasing two bottles will receive their own hat and in select locations there’s a prize draw offering a chance to win a Bacardi Oakheart snowboard.
