Backing for ETRC campaign

By Administrator |

The European Travel Retail Council (ETRC) campaign to preserve liquid/gel-based duty free sales and the allowance rights of transfer passengers has received a big boost over the last month with more than 13 companies contributing

in excess of E.510,000 ($667,155).
Many suppliers, retailers, airports and regional associations have rallied to the call for funds for the campaign which ETRC President Frank O'Connell says faces ?the greatest single threat to our industry ever? with the potential to end sales to transit passengers.
Those who have contributed strongly to the campaign so far include: APTRA, Bacardi, Diageo, Dubai Duty Free, Dufry, Est?e Lauder, Fraport, Gebr Heinemann, Kapp?, L'Or?al, Maxxium, MEDFA, Pernod Ricard, and World Duty Free. The Business and TREND/Generation have also contributed as well as jointly creating an advertising campaign (which has been donated) with ETRC that begins in The Travel Retail Business magazine this month.
